Current Design Obsession

I've been in a little bit of a home design rut. It seems that everyone is really into chevron, ikat, and geometric patterns right now. While I LOVE ikat, the others are a little too modern for me. I have always been drawn to more vintage type stuff.

I tweeted about this, but I am seriously loving vintage tea towels right now. Am I 90 years old?

It all started because I wanted to find some artwork for our dining room and entry hall. I was looking around at paintings and prints and everything just seemed so expensive. I'm not sure why, but "tea towel" popped in my head.

A quick search on the vintage section of Etsy yielded some amazing finds. At first, I thought about going with a 1963 wall calendar, because that is when our house was built. I couldn't find any cute ones though. However, I stumbled upon some seriously fantastic ones. How gorgeous would some of these be if framed in huge gallery frames? And can we say cheap art?!?!? They range from $7-$16!

I've obviously drawn to birds. I mean, I want all of them! The "happy heart" one may have to make it's way to my house. Do you see the potential, or am I just crazy? By the way, I can already see my loving husband (and probably some of my friends) making fun of me for this post. I really am already on the verge of being an old soul, so this might set me over the edge.
